MAZPA (Malaysian Association of Zoological Parks and Aquaria) gladly invites you to attend the 31st SEAZA Conference 2023 at the Grand Baron Hotel in Taiping, Perak, Malaysia from the 5th till 8th of November 2023.

Taiping is a well known heritage town in Malaysia, known for its many first in the history of Malaysia. Among them are the first railway line, museum, airfield , telegraph office, general hospital and many others. Taiping is also well known for its mangrove forest in Matang, which is known as the best managed mangrove forest in the world.

This year the SEAZA Conference’s theme is Keeping Zoos Relevant ; Welfare, Conservation and Education. From this theme, six sessions have been prepared for paper presentations, namely i. Conservation, Collection Planning and Sustainable Population Management, ii. Education in Zoos, iii. Animal Welfare, iv. Zoo and Wild Animal Medicine, v. Zoo and Exhibit Design and Husbandry, and vi. Marketing, Promotion and Tourism

We have also prepared an interesting pre conference day trip to Kuala Sepetang and Matang Mangrove, and also a post conference trip to the Royal Belum State Park, which is among the oldest rainforests in the world. An interesting houseboat trip awaits those keen on such an adventure.
